Brock Wade — Software Engineer (AI Infrastructure & Distributed Systems)
Hi, I’m Brock 👋🏼. I’m a software engineer working largely in AI infra, platform engineering and distributed systems. I recently spent nearly 4 years at AWS in the SageMaker AI org working on ML platform and workflow tooling such as SageMaker Pipelines, SageMaker Search, and SageMaker Images.
While I’ve primarily worked on backend systems and platform engineering for ML, I’ve also shipped modern UI components.
Right now I’m hacking on agentic projects, for voice and otherwise. I’m interested in finding the right uses for (human-enhancing) agents and AI — offloading tasks, not understanding.
I value reading and writing to sharpen ideas and contribute periodically to writing and bookshelf. I also really enjoy traveling; some of my writing consists of travel logs.
I try to live as an apprentice to Jesus.
